The Ten Commandments: More Than Just a List of Rules!
So let's face it, we're often wrong about what we think will make us happy. We think we know what's best for us, when in reality, we often don't. Take the commandments, for example. How often have we not followed them and ended up hurting ourselves? Probably more times than we can remember. God didn't give us the Ten Commandments because He wants to make our lives difficult. He gave us them because He loves us so much, and He knows what will make us most happy. It can certainly be hard to follow the commandments at times, especially when we can't seem to see why they are, in fact, better for us. But the struggle is more than worth it.
